Technology to produce a variety of tube sizes with specialty in precise, thin walled small and intermediate diameter tubes ranging from 2mm to 230mm with a length of 4.5M to 20M maximum is available. Range of bigger diameter tubes that can be manufactured is from 32mm to 60mm with maximum length ranging from 6.0 M to 4.0 M respectively. High precision seamless tubes can be manufactured in stainless steel grades of 304L, 316L, 321, 304, 316 and C.S A-179, Titanium, Copper, Aluminum, Super Alloys (Monel 400, Inconel 600 and 625). The products are manufactured in accordance with ASTM A-213, with mandatory requirements of ASTM A-450 and A-269, ASTM B-338 and other relevant ASTM or other international standers.
The technology to develop and produce elastomeric and thermoplastic products is available, main products include vibration/ shock isolation pads, rubber o rings, seals, flat rubber sheet, air inflated seals, injection molded plastic parts and extruded profiles for working environments like Radiation, Thermal, Exposure to certain chemicals, Various sorts of Hydraulic Fluids, Hydrocarbon Fluids, combination of any two or all. Raw materials after qualifications are sent to compression, injection transfer, or thermoplastic injection molding machines for product manufacturing. State of art Mold designing and precision mold manufacturing is done in PEW. Additive manufacturing comprising FDM and SLS 3D printers capable of producing functional thermoplastic parts is also available. The additive manufacturing setup is equipped with rapid 3D laser scanner for prototyping and reverse engineering. Products are being used by all Nuclear Power Plants and other sister strategic organizations. Vibration/shock isolator having capacity of 5 tons for use in radiation environment with low natural frequency has been developed besides supplying landing gear seals for MASHAQ to PAF. SUPARCO has been engaged in space weather monitoring for the last five decades using a number of country-wide ground-based sensors. Since Pakistan is increasingly relying on Satellites for communication, navigation and earth observation, it is imperative to monitor space weather in order to ensure safe and smooth operations of national assets both in space and on ground. SUPARCO has established a dedicated space weather facility known as Pakistan Space Weather Centre (PSWC) which has an array of instruments installed countrywide to help monitor space weather phenomenon in real time. Chem-Bio Defence Directorate of DESTO assists the National Authority (MoFA) in the implementation of Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and Biological and Toxins Weapons Convention (BTWC).
